On January 15, the first inclusive China-Laos Railway international tourist train of the year departed from Kunming for Vientiane, Laos, carrying more than 300 passengers on an eight-day cross-border journey. The train travels through destinations including Xishuangbanna, Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng, providing a “one-line direct” international travel experience. To meet diversified travel needs, the China-Laos Railway has introduced inclusive tourist train services tailored for senior passengers, equipped with age-friendly facilities such as anti-slip handrails and emergency call devices, as well as full-route tour guide services and flexible itinerary arrangements. Since its opening, the China-Laos Railway has attracted 680,000 cross-border passenger trips from 112 countries and regions, becoming an important corridor for promoting regional tourism and economic cooperation.
